Kara DeFrias, a former journalist and editor, proudly hails from the great state of New Jersey.* She lived in Australia, England, and Bucks County, Penn. before finally settling down in sunny San Diego. Among other things, this Emmy award winning 3-time cancer survivor is a:

She's been lucky enough to work on some pretty cool things like the Oscars, US Soccer, and the Super Bowl XXXVII Halftime Show. When not writing user experiences for one of the best software companies in the world, she does pro-bono PR work for women- and LGBT-owned small businesses on the side in her free time. (Using her knowledge gained as a long-time PR manager for good instead of evil.)
